The Ural-377 is a truck developed from 1958 alongside the Ural-375 by the UralAZ. The main difference with its twin is the drivetrain which is 6×4, as the Ural-377 is supposed to be more of a road truck.
It was tested between 1961 and 1964 and started mass production in 19651) up to 1983. It was a civilian truck and has had its batch of variants over time.
In 1965 began the mass production of both the Ural-377 and the Ural-377S semi-trailer tractor.
The UralAZ also produced the Ural-377K in small quantities as a Ural-377 for Far North operations.
In 1966 was developed the Ural-377V prototype dump truck with three-sided unloading.
During the same year began development of the Ural-377M prototype (along with the Ural-377MS prototype semi-trailer tractor) which aimed to be an update to the base Ural-3773) and Ural-377S.
In 1971 began production of the Ural-377N which was a smaller-tired Ural-377.
