The BelAZ-549 is a mining dump truck built by the BelAZ from 1968 to 1988. Many engines were used with this chassis and it also served as basis for the experimental one-axle semi-trailer tractor BelAZ-549V.
The BelAZ-549 traded its M-300 engine mid-production for the 6ChN 21/211).
The BelAZ-549B is fitted with a 6-cylinder 6RA4-185 engine.
Similarly to the BelAZ-548 and BelAZ-548V, the BelAZ-549V is a one-axle semi-trailer tractor based on the BelAZ-549. It was designed to work in combination with the BelAZ-7525 trailer.
The BelAZ-549S is a thermally adapted BelAZ-549 for polar exploitation.
In 1973, the BelAZ built the BelAZ-7420 semi-trailer tractor based on the BelAZ-549. It was to be used in combination with the BelAZ-9590 dump trailer for coal transporting.
