Description
The BelAZ-540 is a mining dump truck designed from 1960 and produced by the BelAZ from 1965 to 1974.

1967 engine update
Starting from 1967, the BelAZ began equipping the BelAZ-540 with the YaMZ-240 engine. They exited the assembly line as the BelAZ-540A. It outlasted the BelAZ-540 and was produced until 1985.
