The __MAZ-543A__ is a heavy //universal tractor// developed from the **[[maz-543|MAZ-543]]** which started production in **1966**. The main differences with the previous design is a reinforced frame and a shifted forward cabin.

It served as a chassis for many special equipments and as a TEL for several missile systems.
