The __KrAZ-256B__ is a //road dump truck// designed in **1960** by the KrAZ and the MAZ as a replacement for the **[[kraz-222|KrAZ-222]]** and the **[[yaaz-210e|YaAZ-210E]]**. It started production as the __KrAZ-256__, and later in **1966** as the __KrAZ-256B__. Production ended in **1977** and continued with the **[[kraz-256b1|KrAZ-256B1]]**.

It was sold in the UK as the **[[belaz-256b|BelAZ-256B]]**, with production given to the BelAZ only for this market.
